Notification Center

Summary

In the past we used to have notifications only in the form of mails. Now we added a notification center in the app itself!
At the top there is a bell icon which when clicked routes you to the notification center.
It also shows the amount of unread notifications. When a notification has been received a popup shows up on the right side of the screen.

When in the notification center there is collection of all unread notification.
There is also the choice to see ALL notifications. When a notification is clicked, it will be marked as read and the user will be routed to the subject of the notification

Notification types

These are lists of the types of notifications and to whom they are sent out

Instant notifications

These notifications are sent out immediately. The user will get an in-app notification and will receive a mail for each notification

  • A flow was COMPLETED

    • Flow initiator

  • A flow was ABORTED

    • Who the user asked to notify

  • A flow was REJECTED

    • Flow initiator

  • A flow was RESUMED

    • Who the user asked to notify

  • A NEW FLOW TASK is ready for a user

    • The collaborator for the task in question

  • A REMINDER is sent for a FLOW TASK

    • The collaborator for the task in question

  • Everybody has APPROVED a FLOW

    • Who the user asked to notify

  • The CREDIT THRESHOLD (20% of the current plan) is reached

    • All admins for the company

  • A CONTRACT is ENDED MANUALLY

    • Contract owner

Daily notifications

These notifications will be sent out in a “daily digest”.
Every night notifications are made and collected. When they have been collected they are show in a daily digest mail. From this mail the user can go straight to the subject or to the notification center.
These notifications are of course also available in the notification center.

  • A contract was EXTENDED

    • Contract owner

  • A contract was ENDED AUTOMATICALLY

    • Contract owner

  • A TASK REMINDER date has been reached

    • Task owner

  • A TASK was ESCALATED to a MANAGER (this one is in the daily digest and a separate mail is sent out due to the urgency)

    • The manager assigned to the contract of the task

    • Contract owner

Notification center

New notifications

The unread count at the top of the page updates whenever a new notification comes in. When this new notification comes in, there will also be a popup on, the right side of the screen. This popup has 2 buttons:

  • Go to the notification center

  • Mark the notification as read

However notifications for a new flow task, rejected flow and a reminder for a flow task have different buttons as these are notifications where action is usually required. The buttons here are:

  • Go to the notification center

  • Go to the flow page

Notifications page

This page defaults to a view where only the unread notifications are visible.
At the top right corner there is button to switch this view to all notifications, including read and unread notifications.

Every notification has an icon and a color. These icons are the same as the ones that are used in the navigation bar on the side.
There are 4 icons:

  • Flows

  • Contracts

  • Tasks

  • Credits

For flow these can also have a color, these colors are red, or green. This was it is easy to see in a glance whether something is positive or negative.

The notifications are paginated per 50 notifications. Every notification has a checkbox, when 1 is selected the bulk options are shown, which in this case are

  • mark as read

  • mark as unread

Every notification can be marked as read or as unread individually. When hovering over a notification the button will appear in the place where the amount of time ago it was sent is placed. This way the table only has 3 elements at a time.

  • Icon

  • Time/mark as read or unread
