How to activate two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a specific type of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that strengthens access security by requiring two methods (also referred to as authentication factors) to verify your identity. 2FA can be used to strengthen the security of your Contractify environment.

Here’s how to activate it!

Step 1

Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 2

Go to user settings.

Step 3

Click on the tab "Password & Authentication" and on the bottom of the page click on “enable two factor authentication”.

Step 4

Set up 2FA by following the indicated steps.

After scanning the QR-code and typing in your authentication code generated by the authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Lastpass, Microsoft authenticator, …), you’ll be shown recovery codes. Make sure to save them in case you lose access to your authenticator app.

After saving them in a secure place, click on “Finish”.
