It is important to link a contract to a relationship so that you know which party you have entered into that contract with. There are multiple ways you can see if a relation is linked to a contract.
When you select a relation in the "Relations" section you can see on the bottom of the page which contract(s) you have linked to that relation.
When you select a contract in the "Contracts" section you can see on the right side of the page which relation is linked to that contract.
