How to transfer user accounts

1. User should be replaced by colleague (temporarily)

It is very likely that another user will need to follow-up on notifications of a colleague who is temporarily out of office at some point.

An admin can transfer one account to another for as long as needed.

To transfer Laura’s account to Maarten, click ‘Transfer’ and select Maarten as her substitute.

Now Maarten is going to get all notifications that would go to Laura: reminders on contracts or a contract that is automatically renewed/stopped.

Laura can be blocked if the access should be temporarily denied or not.

To go back to the initial situation use the bin next to the substitute’s name and confirm you want to undo this.


2. User leaves company (permanent)

If somebody is leaving the company you can start by blocking their access.

When your company uses single sign on, access is automatically blocked.

To delete a user, an admin has to go to  settings >employees >detailpage user and click the three dots on top of the page at the right side.

Next up you need to select another user who will take over all documents, contracts and tasks and confirm the transfer and removal.

When one user is in multiple environments on Contractify an admin will not be able to delete the user account. In this event, contact your Customer Success Manager or [email protected]
