Adding a tag is an easy way to give an extra dimension to a certain document, contract or relation. It will allow you to create more in depth categories and to search in a more targeted way.

Say for example that you want to easily find all your contracts that are related to GDPR but don’t necessarily fall under the same folder. Just create a tag ‘GDPR’ and add it to all the related contracts.

If you want to be able to keep track of all the energy suppliers you have contracts with, you could create a tag ‘energy supplier’ for relations and add it to all the energy suppliers in your relations.

Defining your list of tags

  • For documents and contracts: Go to Settings, Tags and click on the ‘+ New’ button to add tags

  • For relations: Go to Settings, Tags relations and click on the ‘+ New’ button to add tags

Adding a tag to a contract

To do so, click on the name of the contract, scroll down to the ‘Tags’ box on the right side of the page, click on the pencil sign and add the tag. A document that is linked to a contract will automatically have the same tag(s) as the contract. If needed, you can remove the tag(s) or add others to the document.
